our process
High-level Advocacy

USRLIs effectiveness depends on its high standards of reporting, precise analysis and strong arguments. In 2016:

1
access to political leaders

The United States achieves positive policy change primarily through direct, personal advocacy thanks to its extraordinary access to political leaders and decision-makers.

2
policy meetings per year

We are influential in Western power centres including Brussels, New York, Washington and London – and we are actively shaping the debate in global capitals such as Istanbul, Beijing, New Delhi and Nairobi. Our staff conduct more than 1400 policy meetings per year around the world.

3
hot wars and forgotten conflicts

We partner with governments, think-tanks and other organisations for events on hot wars and forgotten conflicts – including with Chatham House (London), Foreign Affairs magazine (New York), European Peace-Building Liaison Office (Brussels), TEPAV (Ankara), and UN agencies worldwide.
